Doug served an LDS mission to Haiti 20 years ago and when the devastating earthquake hit that country he was among the first group of volunteers sent to assist the people. They could only take 125 volunteers in their group because the plane was also carrying water, food and other supplies. His medical background and his ability to speak Creole made him a valuable volunteer. He had an incredible experience and returned home with so many stories to tell, he was a frequent speaker at firesides and other church meetings. Doug is returning to Haiti in August and taking Michelle, Aubrey and Andrew along this time.
